Cadence Winery, part of the South Seattle Artisan Wineries (SSAW), is located in South Seattle's South Park neighborhood.  They are situated in an industrial warehouse business park off of 14th Ave South along with Nota Bene and OS Winery. This high end winery focuses on making premium red wine (no white wine) from the Red Mountain AVA. They source fruit primarily from Ciel du Cheval, Tapteil and their estate vineyard, Cara Mia.

Ben Smith (Owner/Winemaker) is one of a handful of Boeing employees turned winemaker (John Bell of Willis Hall, Tim Narby of Nota Bene, etc.) by way of the legendary Boeing Wine Club who have access to some of Washington State's most sought after grapes. The winery staff consists of Ben and his wife Gaye McNutt.

Cadence has a fairly large space perfect for when they open their winery up to the public (get on their mailing list to get notice). Despite this, they limit tasting appointments to groups of 12 or smaller to allow meaningful interaction with each guest. Ben produces only a small amount of wine, so they are not open for regular tasting hours.  This is an ideal winery to visit for small groups looking to purchase premium red wine for the cellar.
