I love Tim and Kelly Hightower's style; their winery is low-key and friendly, like them. I first met them when I worked for the Washington Wine Commission- Tim cracked some smart ass joke while Kelly quietly smiled and I instantly liked them. Their wines have always been of the highest quality and a little hard to find, so I was excited when they moved to Red Mountain and built a winery. I knew exactly where to hunt them down!
It's a small winery and they do everything from winemaking, pouring wine to sweeping the floor. Their focus is premium red wines sourced mostly from Red Mountain. They are way at the end of Red Mountain, past Col Solare and Hedges Cellars. This is an excellent stop for smaller groups who are on the hunt for premium red wines.
