Carbon Neutral Eleven winery is one of 6 on Bainbridge Island that has cropped up in the past few years. Some of these wineries focus their winemaking efforts on making wine from grapes grown in the Puget Sound AVA.
Eleven sources their grapes from vineyards grown east of the Cascade Mountains and a few from Oregon. While the actual winery is on the north end of the island, they have a tasting room that is a few minutes walk from the Seattle/ Winslow ferry terminal. There are actually several tasting rooms in downtown Bainbridge Island, making this a wonderful little day trip for visitors to Seattle without a car.
The tasting room can accommodate small to medium groups and Eleven offers a wide variety of mentionable red and white wines and two port-style dessert wines. Their Rose' "La Primavera" is a favorite. There are several restaurants just around the corner from the tasting room. They open their winery to the public on select weekends (see the Bainbridge Wineries website for details).
